In a combined effort including seniors from Kearsley Retirement Community and youth from Kearsley Methodist Services, An Intergenerational Diary of Visual Reverberations was created through the recollection of sounds and stories. As each person contributed to the project with a story, the group listed descriptions of associated sights and sounds that could be easily researched using the Internet. The digital images that we retrieved online helped us visualize each others'sounds and stories. We then created a series of drawings, paintingsas if we were punctuating a musical score with visual reverberations of sound.
This project was supported in part by the Center For Emerging Visual Artists, and New Courtland Inc. as Part of The New Courtland Artist Fellowship, 2009.
